Today is beautiful but a fierce wind is blowing so I opted to stay indoors. I needed a quick setup so that I could devote the rest of my day to other chores.
Color blocks! A perfect opportunity to study color value, reflected light, and shadows. They are simple shapes so that I can focus on the subtle color changes and mixing my colors. Practicing perspective never hurts either!
To light the blocks, I set up a reading lamp on the left side.
