Another plein air piece from my trip to Glacier Park last week. Our first painting of the 3 days was done at St. Mary’s boat launch. This is the “Little Chief,” a restored historic boat built in the 1920s. As you can see from the photo, I left out the other boats and simplified the scene. We couldn’t quite finish as it started to rain. Rain and pastels don’t go well together. I finished the painting in the studio. 9” x 12”
