Day 4 of the Strada Challenge
Today was an absolutely perfect summer day on Flathead Lake. Probably one of the last ones left in the season.
I had planned to do a pastel painting this evening on the dock. Instead we made dinner plans with friends, socially distancing, of course. We grilled burgers on the dock and enjoyed the evening together as the sun slowly set.
Even though I chose to spend quality time with people I love, I didn’t want to miss my daily Strada commitment. I saw Jules’ hat sitting on the table and liked the shape of it along with the shadows cast from the setting sun. I set my water bottle next to it and sketched the duo. So forgive my rustic sketch in place of a pastel painting today. There are times in life when one just has to carpe diem!
