I understand the allure of forest bathing. It is an immersive experience to paint among the trees with the calming energy surrounding me. I feel grounded with our tall standing sisters and brothers as the light plays over their colorful trunks. This day, off the beaten track in Glacier National Park, was particularly pleasant with no wind, no bugs, and the quality of the light was ethereal.
My plein air set up in the cedar forest. I’ve got my major shapes blocked in and the next step will be to build up the shadow and light.
