Pears! These beautiful Red Crimsons were happy to pose for me. I threw in the green Bosc for variety and a touch of humor. It’s very interesting to paint the different varieties of pears—I’m learning their unique characteristics. If you’ve never had a Red Crimson, give it a try—very sweet. Cultivated during the 1950-1960s from a spontaneous mutation, it’s becoming more widely known.
