Summer is just around the corner and 'tis the season of vacationers to our Big Sky state. I always prepare for this season with a series of new paintings and often focus on Flathead Lake and the surrounding landscapes as my subject matter. So many people come and want a visual reminder of their experience here and some will purchase a painting as their souvenir.
The gallery that represents me, FoR Fine Art, is featuring an exhibition titled "Flathead Lake." Featuring artists living and painting in the Flathead Valley, this special group show focuses on Flathead Lake from the unique perspective of each artist. The collection includes landscape, wildlife, figurative, and sculptural pieces and will be on view for the entire month of June.
Participating artists in addition to myself are Rob Akey, Kathy Bonnema Leslie, Richie Carter, Jeff Manion, Lee Proctor, Jeanette Rehahn, Tom Saubert, Robin Sorg, Michele Usibelli, Ken Yarus, and Donald Yatomi
